It’s time for this week’s Reviewed By You! Last time we asked, if you could make a robot of your own, what would it be like? Well, you had some very awesome answers. Check out Pokemaster07‘s robot design:

I would like to have a robot with UNLIMITED strength, health, smartness and Herbert trackers! A Super Sense hearing for HELP!!! Cries! A arm that can lift up the WHOLE island! X-ray eyes and super speed and a jetpack to fly! This would be the perfect robot!

Now we’ve got a question for ninjas. Last week Card-Jitsu Fire and Water were opened up to all players, we want all ninjas to be in top form for the battle ahead. So go to the Ninja Hideout to train, earn rewards. And then tell us, what’s your favorite part about being a ninja?

Polo Field and Daffodaily5 uploaded a new video to Club Penguin’s YouTube account of –yes, you guessed right– their Card-Jitsu Snow adventure! In it, you’ll notice a few sneak peeks of what the Pizza Parlor and Snow Forts will look like during the snowy event.

Earlier this afternoon Club Penguin revealed the new theme music from the upcoming Card-Jitsu Snow Dojo. It’s titled “Through Mountain Passes” and with it, they also revealed a small sneak peek of what the new Dojo Courtyard will look like once the “Mountain Passage” is added.

Club Penguin’s  Furniture Catalog has been updated with brand new furniture just in time for the upcoming Card-Jitsu festivities!  Fortunately for members there’s a BUNCH of new furniture and of course, 2 new hidden items…

As you may already know, Club Penguin’s Card Jitsu Snow is coming soon which means a whole lot of snow will be around the island. If you head over to the Dojo you’ll notice snow has covered the whole Dojo – Check it out below!

If you keep waddling into that cave on the left hand side, you’ll appear at the Ninja Hideout which has even more snow in it. Check it out below as well.

So what are your thoughts on all this snow? I can’t wait until the Card-Jitsu party begins and Card-Jitsu Snow is released! I wonder if we’ll have to dig out the Card-Jitsu Dojo again?

Oh god… well, 4 years go by REALLY fast! What else can I say? By now you’ve probably realized by our new theme and huge ’4th Anniversary’ header (ha ha) that today marks our 4th Anniversary. That’s right penguins! Exactly 4 years ago, today, I created Monchocho.com – What I honestly thought wouldn’t last long and turned into a huge success all because of you. And because of that all I can say is thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!

Thank YOU for all your support, thank YOU for visiting the site daily, and thank YOU for being just so freaking awesome! I’m not even kidding, you guys are amazing and mean the world to me. Your comments, tweets, emails, etc. make my day everyday and I just can’t thank you enough. I know other people take all their success for granted but trust me, I don’t, I’m not like that, and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to take all of this for granted. So THANK YOU, I love you! And of course, special thanks to Bloo, Zoozach, iCPBlog, and everyone else who has helped me keep up with the blog one way or the other throughout the years.

But enough of pretty writing, it’s time to party!

Our 4th Anniversary party will take place this Saturday, May 18th, at the server Snow Angel. We’ll start at the Town (if full head over to the Snow Forts) and we’ll be moving rooms during the party. I’ll make sure to let you guys know where we are via Twitter.

The wait is finally over! Today, along with the other updates in the island, Club Penguin released it’s 2nd mobile application – ‘My Penguin.’ With it, you can play games, buy clothes, watch videos, and much MUCH more.

‘My Penguin’ is now available for download for iPad ONLY. However, ‘My Penguin’ is only compatible with the iPad 2, 3, 4, and it must be running iOS 5 or above. Sorry 1st iPad generation owners!

When you first open ‘My Penguin’ you’ll have to “Tap to Log In” – Enter your username and password.

Once you do so you’ll be able to play games, buy clothes, watch videos, change your outfit, and much more. We’ll talk about all those features later on…

The first thing you’ll notice as soon as you log onto ‘My Penguin’ is that HUGE yellow arrow pointing at the sushi tray. If you click it you’ll be able to play a new game. All you have to do is drag and drop sushi into the ocean – kinda like Plinko but with sushi. The sushi will fall down into the sea and will hit a few ices/rocks/fishes and make its way to the bottom were there’s 7 clams with different prizes. Depending on which clam eats your sushi you can earn 150, 200, or even 500 coins! (Special thanks to possum2001 for letting me know about this)

… and if you ever run out of sushi “Come back every day to get fresh sushi! Explore My Penguin to earn bonus sushi!”

And talking about games, ‘Pufflescape’, ‘Puffle Rescue’, ‘Puffle Roundup’, and ‘Ice Fishing’ are some of the other few games available on ‘My Penguin’. Don’t get too excited though, they’re all exactly the same games as the ones online except there are no grey fishes or Mullet in this version of ‘Ice Fishing’.

Moving on, you can also edit your penguin’s player card by clicking the “Me” button.

… and even shop for clothes by clicking the “Store” button in the homescreen or the Catalog icon in the “Me” page. TIP: Instead of tapping on the corners to flip the page try swiping your finger from left to right.

There are also a few new EXCLUSIVE items for ‘My Penguin’ app users to buy.

You can also stay up-to-date by visiting Club Penguin’s Blog by clicking the “Blog” button in the homescreen.

… and even watch Club Penguin’s latest videos by also clicking the “Videos” button in the homescreen.

Oh! And I almost forgot; with ‘My Penguin’ you can check your buddy list by clicking the “Friends” button. Here you can friend/unfriend people and even throw snowballs at them! How cool is that?

To throw a snowball simply tap one of your friends, click the “Throw Snowball” button and tap on their player card to throw it.

If you happen to be online when someone else decides to throw a snowball at you, a snowball will literally smash (well not smash but… you get me) your screen…

… and if you click it a message will pop out asking you if you’d like to throw one back at them.

Watch out! I’ve been hit by Mr.Fisher. Dang it! :p *Throws one back at him* :]

Oh and one last thing; you can add more accounts and switch between them by clicking the blue “switch” button in the homescreen located on the top-right of your screen.

In conclusion ‘My Penguin’ is a-w-e-s-o-m-e! The controls are easy to use, games work smooth (so does the app), the new items and features are fantastic including the new Sushi game but, HOWEVER, and I know some of you might agree with me on this one, most of the graphics look pixilated and not retina ready. I mean, isn’t the iPad’s Retina display one of it’s killer features? Might as well change those during the next update. Just sayin’

So what do you think? Have any of you downloaded ‘My Penguin’ yet? If so, from 1-5 how many stars would you give it? I give it 4.5! There’s still room for improvement.

UPDATE: According to Pikalugia, who talked to Club Penguin about the My Penguin App, “they said they will add the app to iPod, iPhone and Android in the end of May (or later..)”

Construction continues at the EPF Command Room and today, a few new things were added to it… Who am I kidding? Only one thing was added actually (other than the random wood all over the place) and those are Spy Drills!

Spy Drills are basically Field Ops all together. When you head over to the Spy Drills you have two options: to train or complete a challenge.

If you decide to train you, well, get to train to prepare for challenges (which won’t earn you anything).

BUT, however, if you decide to complete a challenge you can earn up to 5 medals per challenge by completing 3 random drills! Now that’s cool…

… and that’s pretty much it. So what do you think? Are you glad Field Ops are back? Oops, I mean, Spy Drills! Ha ha.

Yup, yup, yup, a random blizzard has taken over the Dojo Courtyard and Ninja Hideout at Club Penguin! Because, you know, Card-Jitsu Snow is coming out pretty soon (May 23 to be precise). And talking about ninjas, Card-Jitsu Fire and Snow are now available for EVERYONE (including non-members) to play!

If you’re a non-member (and happen to visit the Ninja Hideout for the first time ever) Sensei will pop-out of nowhere and give you an amulet along with some Card Jitsu card.

Oh, he’ll also explain to you what those “glowing tablets” are for.

AWESOME! But I have a question; will Card-Jitsu Fire & Water remain available for everyone to play permanently? We have no idea but I’ll make sure to update this post as soon as I find out more.

Well, that was unexpected… But yea, that’s right! Battle of the Ancient Shadows has returned to the Stage! Unfortunately there’s nothing new to it (oh and in another note – I forgot this play even existed lol) but there are some pretty cool items in the Costume Trunk. Spike Hike just posted a special “My Penguin” app announcement in the blog. Check it out below! Mmmm… sushi!!

Since the announcement of My Penguin, many of you have commented on something unusual in the screenshot. What is this plate of sushi for?!!

Is it to feed your Penguin? Or your Puffle? Or something else entirely?

Well the secret is finally out!! Sushi Drop is a brand new game that is exclusive to My Penguin. When you use the app by reading the blog, watching a video, or playing a game, you get rewarded with sushi. The more you use My Penguin, the more sushi you can collect.  Each piece of sushi gives you a turn in Sushi Drop. You can drop your sushi and nudge it by tapping to make bubbles in the water.

If you hit a fish on the way down, you earn coins. On the water’s bottom, there are clams hungry to eat your sushi. (Wait, do clams eat sushi??!!) The bigger the clam, the bigger your reward.

You can earn coins and even items by playing, and the items you can win can are only available in Sushi Drop!! It’s quick, fun, and a great way to earn rewards that you can use in Club Penguin!!

We can’t wait for My Penguin to come out next week – May 9th – for iPad!! I know many of you are on iPhone, iPod Touch, or Android and we hope to get there one day soon.  We have lots of surprises for mobile this year in store and this is only the beginning!!!

Penguins assemble! Marvel has taken over the island for the 2nd year in a row for yet another epic event. This year, villains and heroes collect crystals to either save or destroy the island. There are, of course, new costumes available for ALL penguins and 2 new games. Shall we get started?

As soon as you log onto Club Penguin a pop-out appears asking you to choose a side: villains or heroes.

If you choose to be a hero, collect crystals (by playing the game) to power up your gloves. If you collect 50,000 points, you will earn a “Hero Hoodie.”

Whatever this game is called, it’s pretty easy to play. All you have to do is bounce through as many crystal clusters as you can to gain points my moving your mouse.

Oh, and you can come back every day until May 2nd to collect all 9 different gloves.

UPDATE: If you beat the game and collect 100 crystals, you’ll earn a white superhero hoodie! Special thanks to Destructo-Man, DisneySonicRocks, Paolo Pengy, and buddybird2 for letting me know about this. Check it out below:

In the other hand, if you choose to be a villain, you’ll have to build your own robot force! YES, how cool is that?

To create your own robot force click the “Build” button and choose the type of robot force you’d like to build. If you thought jumping around to collect crystals was easy… just wait… this one is even easier. All you have to do is drag and drop the matching parts to build your robot force.

The faster you build your robot, the more colors you can make it. And yes, you have to build 8 robots for each kind of robot. And just like superheroes, once you’ve build all 8 types of robots (which wont be until May 2nd) you can earn the Robot Hoodie.

Now here’s the cool thing about villains: once you’ve built your first force of robots you can go back and choose your robot to destroy Penguintropolis!

To do so, collect power crystals at the beach. Bounce through as many crystal clusters as you can to gain points and if you earn 50,000 points, you can collect the “Hero Hoodie!” Sweet.

BUT WAIT! There’s even more to talk about! This week’s issue of the Club Penguin Times is a double issue.  If you flip the newspaper you’ll notice a few articles from Protobot. His mission: to destroy the island and triumph over good.

To destroy the island, head over to the Cove and build robots. The faster you build your robot the more colors you can make it and if you build all 8 types of robots with different destructive moves, you can collect the Robot Hoodie!

Marvel’s 2nd Superhero Takeover starts Thursday and with it just a few hours away, today, Entertainment Weekly got an exclusive first look at two of the 27 Marvel costumes that will be available during the party – Red Hulk and Iron Spider!

See that picture above? Those are the first official screenshots of Club Penguin’s upcoming “Card-Jitsu” app! Club Penguin, along Metalab Design, have been working on the app for about 2 years now. With this app you’ll be able to well, obviously, play Card-Jitsu!

However, no word yet has been said on when it’ll be released but we are pretty sure it’ll be sometime during the Card-Jitsu event in May – oops, I wasn’t supposed to say that… hehehe.

I’ve had a secret that I’ve wanted to share this everyone for almost a year… Today I can finally share it with you!

Some of you may have seen me show up occasionally in the Friends list from a place called “My Penguin.” A few of you guessed that it may be a secret Club Penguin app on mobile… You were right!!!

I’m excited to tell you that our new iPad app is coming soon!

The first version of “My Penguin” will let you play some of your favorite mini-games, shop from the catalog, and change your Penguin’s outfit . The app is totally connected to Club Penguin, so your Penguin, clothing and coins will be shared whether on mobile or the web.

That’s just the beginning, too… We’ll be updating the app regularly and bringing more of the Club Penguin world to the app throughout the year!! Stay tuned to the blog for more news and updates on “My Penguin”!

Tour Guide here with my first blog post ever! You may not know me, but I spend lots of time with Polo and the team! I’m always busy reading your comments, and giving tours online.

In my line of work, I meet a lot of amazing penguins with tons of great questions. And I want to answer as many as I can!

Today I’ve got answers to your Marvel Super Hero Takeover questions.

Will last year’s Marvel costumes return? They sure will! You’ll have another chance to suit up as all your favorite Marvel characters. We can’t wait to see all your crazy Hulk, Loki, and Black Widow outfits. AND there will be new surprises… Marvel costumes you’ve never seen before.

What kinds of new activities will there be? Fasten your flippers! There’ll be two brand new mini-games, available only during the party. One for heroes. One for villains. So pick your side!

Which Mascot will visit? Just like last year, Aunt Arctic will be there on the ground to cover the clash between good and evil! Stay tuned to the blog for dates and times.

What will non-members be allowed to do? Non-members can join a side to protect or destroy Penguintropolis! And everyone can play the new super hero and super villain games! Flippertastic!

Yesterday we spotted Leafypingu rallying to make a difference in the Club Penguin community for Earth Day. It got the team thinking… What could we do to make a difference for Earth Day here at Club Penguin HQ?

That’s where you come in! We’d love your help to decide where we should make a difference right here in our home town of Kelowna, Canada.

We have three ideas:

A) Plant some trees
B) Clean up our local stream
C) Plant a garden for our local women’s shelter

Which do you think we should do?

As some of you may have heard, last week we had a few parents here in the Kelowna Club Penguin office for a ‘Club Penguin Summit’. We showed them some sneak peeks, and I wanted to make sure everyone had a chance to see them.

A few weeks ago Disney invited a few bloggers and media people to their “Club Penguin Summit” event at Club Penguin’s headquater in Kelowna, Canada –which took place yesterday– where they got to talk about internet safety, privacy, and future plans for Club Penguin.

Some of their future plans include new parties, rooms, games, and even a mobile app! Yes, an app! If you’d like to find out more (and to not spoil it for everyone else) click the “Continue Reading” button below!

Let’s start with this month’s sneak peeks.

As you might already know Marvel’s Superhero Takeover begins in 2 weeks. Not much has been revealed about this party UNTIL NOW… @GlitterfulFelt (one of the bloggers invited) tweeted a few of the many sneak peeks revealed during the event.

Below are a pictures of how The Plaza, Forest, and Cove will look like during Marvel’s Superhero Takeover. Spoiler alert: they look awesome!

Did anyone notice the “secret tunnel” and party catalog? Oh, and also, notice that crane at the Cove? It will be used to “fish up destructables.” How cool is that?

There’ll also be a few new games during the party…

… and 3 new superhero costumes!

Moving on to May, there’ll be a Card-Jitsu Snow event! During this event the whole island will be transformed…

…and of course, Card-Jitsu Snow will be released as well. Here’s what the Card-Jitsu Snow Dojo will look like:

And as if those weren’t enough sneak peeks… wait for it… Club Penguin is adding a new room to the island this June – a school!

Now, I have no idea if this room will be permanent or temporal nor do I know where it will be located, but what I do know is that… No, I really don’t know anything. Ha ha ha, but it looks pretty cool. Maybe it’ll be part of the much-anticipated/rumored Community Center? I hope so!

And last but not least, Club Penguin gave their attendees a first look of their upcoming “My Penguin” app.

With it you’ll be able to play all games from the snowy-island, shop for clothes, edit your penguin, check out your friends, and even watch videos! It looks pretty cool, right? However, we have no idea if it will be available for all platforms nor when it’ll be released.

Marvel’s Superhero Takeover is, well, taking over Club Penguin in 2 weeks and just today Club Penguin updated its Better Igloos Furniture Catalog just in time for the action! … and the Earth Day :p

Fortunately for you, there are a few new hidden items. To find and buy them simply click the spots I encircled with red in Club Penguin’s Furniture Catalog below then click the “buy” tag.

Just today Club Penguin started airing a brand new commercial through Nickelodeon and Disney Channel featuring Marvel’s Superhero Takeover. Looks pretty cool, huh?

As you may (or may not) already know, the hot sauce bottle from the Pizza Parlor was stolen by Herbert and the EPF needs YOUR help to recover the missing hot sauce. To get started with your mission, head over to the EPF Command Room and click the “New Mission” screen next to The Lab.

You will be greeted by the Director and she’ll explain to you what has happened and what to do. Oops, did I say she? I mean, we don’t even know who The Director might be… hehehe.

Once you’ve accepted your mission head over to the Pizza Parlor and talk to The Jet Pack Guy.

He’ll tell you to go to the Cove and tell everyone the pizza party is off (you really don’t have to do that) and also to search for evidence around the island.

All evidence is really found at the Pizza Parlor so stay there. First collect a sample of hot sauce by just clicking whatever hot sauce there is in the room and then get a piece of fur (found next to the missing hot sauce bottle behind the cashier).

You will get a call from Gary telling you to use the TraceTraker 3000… (Members only)

But, however, if you’re a non-member, head over back to the EPF Command Room and insert your evidence in The Lab booth.

… and now you wait for 6 hours. That’s if you’re a non-members…

If you are a member then simply use the TraceTracker 3000 and use it to follow Herbert’s and Klutzy’s footprints.

They will lead you to the Beach. Once you are there a secret door will pop out of nowhere (woot!) and you’ll have to play a mini-game to get in…

All you have to do is click your spy phone when the weird-I-dont-even-know-what-they-are shapes turn and hit the white rectangle. Or if you’re just feeling lazy keep clicking your spy phone (it won’t take more than 5 seconds – really).

The door will open, you’ll waddle into the lair, and then you’ll notice Herbert talking to Klutzy about his plan

Once he shuts up stops talking to Klutzy click the pizza and throw it to the “flood” button for Klutzy to chase it and well, flood Herbert’s lair.

Yay! You’ve killed Herbert – just kidding! He knows how to swim… I think.

Rookie will the congratulate you for getting back the hot sauce and pizzas for the party!

You will then receive a call from the Director…

… and earn 5 medals along an “Operation Hot Sauce Background” for your playercard. Woot!

And that’s about it. The pizza will be back to the Cove and everyone ate happily ever after, lol.

You can complete this mission up to 5 times to earn even more medals. But, however, every time you complete Operation Hot Sauce you will earn 1 less medal. So if you want to play it again you’ll earn 4 medals instead of 5 and if after that you want to do it again you’ll earn 3 medals instead of 4 and so on.

So what do you think? How do you like Operation Hot Sauce? I think it’s awesome but they’re waaaay too short and easy. I wish they would last at least 10-15 minutes like the PSA ones did :] That’d be cool.

With Marvel’s Superhero Takeover taking over the island by the end of the month, today, Club Penguin updated it’s Penguin Style Clothing Catalog with brand new styles to get ready for action!

But before we get started with any cheats I just wanted to let you all know there are 4 “wild” costumes right after the party-themed outfits in celebration of the Earth Day.

Back to the hidden items/cheats; to find and buy them simply click the spots I encircled with red in Club Penguin’s Clothing Catalog below then click “buy”.

… but unfortunately there’s only 1 new hidden item. Yikes! Oh well, I’m pretty sure more outfits will be released along Marvel’s Superhero Takeover.
